Stop Fat Storage Review: NOT A Scam, Interesting Information

Stop Fat Storage by Janet Hadvill is an interesting program that has caught my attention. It tries to explain why people 35 years and older tend to start gaining belly fat despite having a good diet and exercising regularly and I think it make sense. In this review you’re going to find out all about this product, who created it and why you should give it a try if you are 35 years and older.

Before we begin however, I must disclose that I have an interesting history with the author’s husband. But my review verdict will base solely on the program’s merits and nothing more. With that said, let’s begin the review proper, shall we?

Stop Fat Storage was launched in November 2018. However, it is not an entirely new product. Actually, it is an updated and repackaged version of Janet’s older product called Trouble Spot Nutrition, which was created in 2013. I know this because both programs talk about the same thing and share the same testimonials.

Now let’s talk about the creator of Stop Fat Storage. Who is she?

Who is Janet Hadvill?

Janet Hadvill

Janet Hadvill tells us that she’s a certified nutritionist who works in clinic with one ‘Dr Andersson.’ Now given the history I have with her husband Bruce I already know that this ‘Dr Andersson’ is just a pseudonym. But he doesn’t really matter that much in this review since Janet is actually the one taking the credit for creating the ‘breakthrough’ being sold in Stop Fat Storage.

Janet also claims that she has served as a ‘personal nutritionist to award winning musicians, celebrities, and actors,’ and is ‘known for helping people use nutrition to solve stubborn health issues when nothing else has worked.’ She says she’s been able to do this because she ‘dig(s) deeper to find answers and solutions than anybody else is willing to.’

Hmm that’s a pretty bold claim. Good for her.

Bottom Line: Janet is a real person who is qualified to give advice and recommendations about nutrition.

How Stop Fat Storage Works

According to Janet, Stop Fat Storage works by ‘shutting off’ the enzyme responsible for the production of belly fat. This enzyme [cortisone reductase or 11β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase type 1 (HSD)] is activated by stress, and it in turn activates cortisol, the stress hormone which is largely responsible for belly fat (‘stress fat’) in older individuals. Janet claims that this enzyme is the reason why you keep accumulating belly fat despite eating healthy and regularly exercising.

Janet says that all you need to do to deactivate this enzyme is to drink some liquid made from ‘natural’ ingredients every afternoon while avoiding three specific ‘stress causing’ foods. Doing this will ‘guarantee you’ll lose up to 4 inches and 7 pounds of fat in the next 7 days,’ Janet promises. Also there is no need for dieting or exercise in this program.

One of the foods Janet recommends you avoid if possible is coffee, or more accurately, ‘caffeine with sugar.’ Janet says that taking this beverage in the afternoon will ‘spike’ your cortisol level throughout the rest of the day. That’s definitely not what you want if you’re 35 years and older. What’s worse, she adds, is that the caffeine will be difficult to process by the body if you already have an elevated HSD level or work stressful jobs.

However, if you love coffee so much that you aren’t willing to give it up, you’re in luck. Janet says you don’t have to stop drinking coffee entirely. Just limit yourself to one cup in the morning, ‘preferably without sugar.’

OK let’s verify the most important claim. What is this enzyme and does it really cause stress fat?

What is HSD? Does it Cause Belly Fat?

Like Janet said, HSD is a little-known enzyme which can be found in various body tissues and organs, including fat cells and the liver. It works by catalyzing (speeding up) the conversion of cortisone (inactive form of cortisol) to cortisol. This same enzyme can also do the opposite: Convert cortisol back to cortisone.

The mechanism behind this reaction is technical and so I’ll make it simple. HSD converts cortisone to cortisol when there is the presence of a substance known as NADH. But when NADH levels become low, HSD then reconverts cortisol to cortisone using another substance called NAD+.

Excessive activity of HSD leads to increased cortisol levels and hence, central obesity (accumulation of fat in the torso – especially in the belly –  more than in the limbs). But lack of this enzyme or its deficiency is a problem, especially if you are a female of childbearing age. This is because lack of this enzyme causes symptoms similar to polycystic ovary syndrome (male form hair distribution, infertility, no menses) because lack of cortisol leads to a lot of disruptions in the regulation of many metabolic activities. In males however, lack of this enzyme leads to premature onset of puberty.

But again if you look at the mechanism listed above, you can see that shutting off HSD is not really the answer. The answer is, having HSD to reconvert cortisol to cortisone by making NAD+ more abundant than NADH. But doing that is very complex and almost impossible. So the best thing is not allow the reaction to take place at all in people who are suffering the results of its excesses. This is what Janet is claiming to have achieved in her Stop Fat Storage program.

Who is Stop Fat Storage For?

Janet says that her Stop Fat Storage program is for men and women 35 years and older who are suffering from excessive belly fat as a result of stress. This means that this program is NOT suitable for those whose obesity is caused by excessive food consumption or genetic abnormalities. It is also NOT suitable for younger people and especially females of childbearing age for reasons already discussed above.

If you are not in the category I listed above but have chronic medical conditions like ulcer and diabetes, make sure you consult your physician before trying this product.

Results To Expect With Stop Fat Storage

In the backstory of Stop Fat Storage, Janet instructs Jaime and her husband Evan (the backstory subjects and testimonials) to track the following factors while on the program:

  1. Body weight
  2. Waist circumference
  3. Afternoon heart rate
  4. Blood pressure
  5. Quality of sleep

She then reports ‘remarkable’ results, claiming that Jaime and Evan both lost ‘each lost an average of 26 pounds of belly fat’ in just 30 days. Not only that, but they also saw a decrease in blood pressure and anxiety … and then increase in energy. Janet reports, ‘As a nutritionist with over 20 years clinical experience I had never seen such a dramatic transformation using something so simple.’

Just to be doubly sure, Janet says she tried the Stop Fat Storage formula on some of her ‘most difficult clients’ who had ‘stress belly fat’. And pretty much all of them, men and women, saw their fat bellies shrink and their anxiety gone. Convinced at this point, Janet says she hired ‘a team of nutritionists’ to incorporate the formula into dozens of ‘delicious’ drink recipes and tonics, using adaptogens found in food items you can easily buy at your local grocery store. Afterwards, she tested the new recipes on several control groups and here are the results:

This is exciting and all, but know that this is a health product and will not work for everyone. That said, Janet says you should expect the following results with Stop Fat Storage:

  1. ‘Decreased weight gain – especially around your belly’
  2. ‘Enhanced feeling of calm and wellbeing which keeps you focused all day long’
  3. ‘Decreased food cravings’
  4. ‘Improved digestion’
  5. ‘More mental energy’
  6. ‘Deeper concentration and better moods’
  7. ‘Plus the feeling of finally having the power to burn fat and lose inches and pounds of stress belly fat.’

What Stop Fat Storage is Not

Janet makes it unequivocally clear that Stop Fat Storage is NOT a juicing fad diet or, as she calls it, ‘some silly fruit juice cleanse.’ Rather, it is a program that allows you to eat whatever you want (since that is not the cause of your stress fat) and you can also combine it with your existing diet plans (paleo, vegan, keto, etc.)

Cons of Stop Fat Storage

  1. Issues with Backstory. Stop Fat Storage tells us this story about the travails of Janet and her husband Evan. But over at Trouble Spot Nutrition which shares basically the same principle, the backstory is about Janet and her husband Bruce struggling with stress belly fat after having twins and starting a new business. Now while I would prefer some consistency in backstories, I cannot say that this findings mean that the backstories are false and therefore, Stop Fat Storage is a scam.
  2. Questionable Facebook Testimonials. Janet provided a ‘screenshot’ of people reviewing Stop Fat Storage on Facebook but honestly speaking, that’s not how Facebook reviews look like. What’s with the shortened surnames of the reviewers? And most importantly, I searched and couldn’t find the official Facebook page of Stop Fat Storage, where you’d expect to find these reviews. So where did those reviews come from?stop fat storage review questionable facebook testimonials
  3. Video Presentation is too long. The video presentation of Stop Fat Storage is 1 hour 5 minutes long … and you’ll need a lot of patience to sit through it. But, unlike the scams with similar video lengths, it actually has interesting information. However, I’ll advise Janet to stick to short videos not more than 30 minutes long and then leave the bulk of the presentation in the text version of the site. Thankfully there is a text version so you can skip the video and read it instead.

Final Conclusion: YES, TRY Stop Fat Storage. It is NOT A Scam!
